About Us
Photo And Sound Saving has experienced a lot of growth since opening in 2004. We have met many people and heard their stories, some evoking tears others providing hope that their offspring will enjoy a glimpse of restored family history. Our services have been provided to the individual wanting to enlarge one image so they could see the faces to those with entire family collections, photographers, museums, crime labs, attorneys, artists, and many other professionals.
How It All Began
It all began when some elderly friends of ours received boxes and boxes of old photos from family members who were downsizing their households. As much as this gesture was appreciated, it created quite a problem for our friends. The husband hadn't seen some of these folks in many years and was overwhelmed with all of these photos. He promptly started sorting and they were soon spread all over the house (to his wife's dismay). He wanted to identify the people in the photos, but this was a difficult task. He was able to locate some of the people through mutual friends and began to mail photos asking for help. As you may imagine, the collections were never completed before his wife cleaned up the clutter, put them back into boxes and stored them away!
Not long after this, we saw a newsclip about a local college student who was crying because she had lost all of her photos in her dorm that had just burned. She had recently moved away from home for the first time, and these photos had been a treasured connection to home.

It was obvious! Our expertise could benefit a variety of people and ensure that these memories were easy to access, share with family, and update to a format that would last. We spent the next year researching equipment and techniques, to assure our high standards could be met.
