Business Operations
Photo & Sound Saving has been digitizing memories since 2004 in Stanwood, Washington. In 2009 the business operations were restructured. This process involved shutting down for a few months to accommodate changes. The first part of 2010 Photo & Sound Saving opened a new production facility located in Marikina Heights, Philippines and moved the administrative offices to Lynnwood, Washington. The layout for the new production facility was designed by a local architect in Stanwood.
As word spread about the expansion and changes the most common response was “I can’t believe a local business from this small town is going international.”
Facility Locations
The production facility is located in Marikina heights an exclusive suburb of Manila in the Philippines at the C & B Circle Mall. The management team operates from Lynnwood, just north of Seattle.
International Market
With the new production facility Photo & Sound Saving has no limit by size to handle large conversion orders and entire collections from many sources. Joining the many other international businesses they can now stay competitive and continue to offer their same high quality for even lower prices.
The production facility is fully registered with the Philippine government and complies with all regulations of employment in the Philippines, including base salaries, bonuses, holidays, and employment taxes.
Our work force is College educated, working an 8 hour, 5 day a week work schedule, Monday through Friday and being compensated with a highly desirable family waged position. Their work ethics are outstanding and bring innovation to Photo & Sound Saving.
Employment
Company growth will require expanded employment opportunities locally as well as in the Philippines. The management team and technicians have computer, photographic and artistic backgrounds providing the knowledge and the eye required for a professional converted product.
In the first few months of operation the competency and professionalism of the production facility necessitated growth in the work force.
Continued growth is the primary focus of 2010. In August a second shift was hired and training for our proceedures and quality began. An additional third shift will train in September.
Direct Communication
The local management team operates closely with the production facility, including travel and electronic communications.
Procedure does require an average turn-around-time of four to six weeks, which can vary slightly either direction, depending on the time of year and work load. A received order at the administrative office is opened under cameras, to assure an accurate description and quantity. It is then direct shipped via UPS to and from Photo & Sound Savings exclusive production facility. Status reports and questions answered with a call to 1 800 497-1151.
