Submittal Guidelines
Important Media Preparation and Shipping Instructions
We recommend you take your media to have it professionally packaged.
We recommend that consideration be given the appropriate packaging to eliminate potential damage due to the elements while in transit.
You may opt to take advantage of our additional sorting and preparation service available for photos, slides, film, and all media. You will be contacted after we receive your order, given a firm quote and charged for this service before we begin to process your media.
Record Albums
- Should be in their sleeves and jackets.
- Select appropriate packaging to avoid breakage and damage.
Photos
- All photos need to be free from frames, albums, photo corners, or tape.
- Assure that your photos do not contain any sticky substances and that there is nothing attached to any of the photos.
- Photos need to be bundled according to size and orientation (portrait or landscape).
- Bundle black and white photos separate from color photos.
Photos Scanned from Photo Albums
If your images are permanently attached to a photo album page we can scan each page and save individual photos and captions.
- Send in your order and it will be determined if a sorting is necessary.
- You will be contacted with a firm quote prior to any sorting.
Slides
- Slides need to be in their slide boxes or banded together.
- All slides need to be facing the same direction and orientation.
- On bundles of slides, please notate which direction is face up on each bundle.
Order Form
- Include printed Order Form with your media. Please include any special instructions on this order form.
- If you were unable to print the Order Form: Your Order Number needs to be placed in your package, also include your Name, Address, Phone Number, and E-mail.

Sorting and Organizing Your Images
Images Organized In a Specific Order on CD or DVD
During normal processing your images will not remain in the order sent to us and will not show up in that order on your disc. You can, however, arrange them in themes of your choice. The photos for each theme will remain together, and you will be able to go through your list of photos and find all of the same vacation, sports events, pets, family, or other related items listed together, rather than scattered throughout the disc.
Organizing Photos and/or Slides into Themes
- Your images can be arranged into Themes of your choice.
- Your disc will not contain titles or breaks for themes, however you will be able to go through the list of images and find all of the same vacation, sports events, pets, family, or other related items listed together rather than scattered throughout the disc.
- Sort the pictures into the different Themes.
- Sort Black & White photos separate from Color photos.
- Next step Sort according to size and orientation (portrait or landscape) within each of the already sorted sections.
- Band together or use envelopes for sorted media.
- Note on your order sheet in the “Additional Instructions” section in the Shopping Cart that you wish to have these photos remain together.
Sequential Ordering of Photos and/or Slides for Slideshows
- All or part of your photos or slides can be arranged in sequential order. This is often a choice used for those who would like to have their images appear in a certain order for a slideshow presentation.
- Please note if both slides and photos will be included in the sequential order.
- Bundle the photos or slides you wish to have in sequential order separate from the rest of your order.
- Place numbers 1, 2, 3 etc. on the back of each photo or on the frame of each slide.
- Give a name or label to your Sideshow for the selected group of photos and/or slides.
- Include instructions with your packaged media stating that you want photos to be displayed in a particular order on your disc.
If there is a sorting and preparation fee charged, you will be contacted prior to your order being processed with a firm price.
